Chapter 20

I woke up with the sun on my skin. My eyes open and close. The light was too bright. I was held close to someone and kissed on the nose, forehead, eyelids, and finally lips.
“Wake up babe.” I heard Evan whispered into my ears. His voice was rough and husky, I loved it. I opened my eyes and pulled back from the kiss. I looked into the green eyes opened in front of me. I started to get lost just staring at them. I saw the smile in his eyes; I smiled back and gave him a peck.
” They sent the uniform. You need to go school. ” Edwin said. I rolled over and got pulled into his chest, I was facing the green eyes of Evan. I pouted sending a message that I did not want to go. But he just gave me a peck.
“I don’t want to go, why don’t we just stay here in bed?” I asked. “It benefits all of us.” I heard a groan behind me and I saw Evan closed his eyes, as if to clear his thoughts.
“Don’t make me dress you Lia.” Evan said, I could not see anything wrong with that to be honest.
“Oh please do, as long as you let your hands linger I don’t mind.” I said giving him a cheeky smile. He groaned. “Fine.” I said giving up. I climbed over him, and walking to the shower. I heard groans, and then remembered I was still naked. I giggled and ran the rest of the way knowing they would be following.
After the shower, I saw the uniform placed on the bed. I had just finished drying my hair as my mate went to dress. I was going to be late, I knew it. I got on the uniform, which seems cooler than those in England. I had a pleated skirt which reached just above my knees due to my long legs, fitted white blouse, and a sweater vest and a blazer above. It had a black and gold colour scheme. I liked it, but the whole point of going to school in America was the fact that there was none. This had to be a private school.
“You will be going to Green Ville High, for some courses and Green NYC High for other classes. Some things are taught better in New York.” Edwin said coming up behind me, wrapping his arms around me looking at me in the mirror.
“How do I look?” I asked smiling.
“You look beautiful. I like a girl in uniform.” He said with a cheeky smile, I hit him on the arm but I could not help the smile that broke out. I twisted in his arms, and I wrapped mine around his neck. I pecked him.
“Okay… wait, how am I getting to New York?” I asked.
“Our private plane will be ready to pick you up, from Ville High to NYC High.” He answered.
“Okay, Lets go I’m hungry.” I took myself out of his arms and held on to his hand, pulling him out of the room and into the big kitchen.
After the long breakfast, I went to brush my teeth and added minimum make up. I put on some black flats and exited the room. I met the twins in their office, poking my head inside.
“I’m ready to go.” They raised their heads and smiled. I walked into the study, and kissed both their cheeks. They stood up and closed their laptop lids. I looked at them confused.
“Okay, you cannot leave David and the other guards.” Evan said with a serious look on his face. I reluctantly nodded my head.
“I will drop you today; Evan has some things to do.” Edwin said.
“You do not have to… I will be fine.” I reassured him.
“I want to.” He said kissing my cheeks. “I’ll meet you at the door.”
I walked over to Evan and kissed him on the cheek. He pouted, yes pouted and grabbed me back into his arms, for a full on kiss. I leaned into his arms, letting his lips take over mine, enjoying the electricity that flowed. I felt wind around us. I pulled back and open my eyes to see his green ones. I smiled, he returned it. From the corner of my eyes I could see the water in his glass was floating in mid air. I let it down gently. I needed to get a hold on these powers.
“Bye.” I said. Reluctantly letting myself out of his arms, he picked up my fingers and kissed the tips. I smiled and left the room. I reached the stairs hurrying up. I looked around for the phone in my pocket. When I found it I saw a text from Patty.
Patty: have a good day at school hun.
I smiled and replied.
Me: you too, love and miss you p.
I saw Edwin smiling at me and he held out his hand for me to hold. We walked into the limo in silence. When we were both inside, Edwin pulled me into his arms onto his lap.
“Are you ready for today?” he asked. I smiled and kissed his lips.
“Yep.” I said into the kiss. He deepened it and was passing his hands through my hair. I straddled him, putting he between my legs and I passed my hands into his soft silky hair. I moaned into the kiss. We broke it. My forehead on his, looking into his eyes once again, I buried my head into his shoulder breathing in his appetising sent. We stayed like this until the limo came to a stop. I climbed off him immediately missing the feel of him passing his hands gently through my hair. He got out the limo, and held his hands out for me to take. I got out looked around and noticed I was not late. Everyone was there, staring at me and Edwin. He rubbed his thumb at the back of my hand. It was too quiet for a place full of people. Looking at the school building, it was beautiful. Everything was so expensive and rich.
Edwin and I started walking through the crowds. I looked behind and saw David and the other guards sending a smile to them. We all walked through the main doors into the office. Edwin knew where everything was.
“You came school here?” I asked kind of like a statement.
“Yeah, you will like it here.” He said looking down at me flashing a smile. We were outside the principles door, Edwin knocked. I removed his hands from mine and he wrapped his arms around my shoulders, pulling him closer to me. The door opened, the principle, a nice man was in front of me. The conversation was short, just about little things, I zoned out.
“Nice meeting you.” Mr. Cranston said holding out his hand. I took it and shook it. He handed me my schedule and a map. We exited the room and I walked Edwin back to the limo which will drop him back home. He pecked me on the lips, knowing people around me were looking. The bell went and everyone hurried around me.
“Bye, love you.” I said.
“I love you too, stay safe matey.” He said smiling gently.
I turned knowing he would be looking until I was safely inside of the building. I took out my map and schedule seeing that I had English. I giggled remembering the last time I had an English lesson. I remembered I had with Evan. David next to me, my close guard looked at me as I was crazy. I shook my head.
“Long story.” I said still giggling.
We walked together in the hallway full of people. I looked into the window of my English class and saw people whispering to the person next to them. The class stopped when the teacher stood up. I opened the door and saw all whispering stop.
I walked up to the teacher and passed the letter the principle said I had to give to all my teachers. He scammed the letter and gave it back.
“Class this is Camelia, make her feel welcome.” He turned to me and said “take a seat anywhere.” Then he went back to his desk. English was my favourite lesson. I took a seat next to a guy at in the middle of the room. I looked for David and saw him standing at the side of the door. He had a serious expression and started to look around the room. He made me chuckle.
When the class was over, David and the other guards walked me to my next lesson; maths. I hated the subject so much, but I was average at it.
The same thing happened, like the other teacher. But he told me to introduce myself when I thought it was not necessary since I was known by almost everybody in Green Ville as new were Queen.
I did so and went to a seat in the front row. The class went slow, and I was not paying attention for the first day school since most of time I could hear the whisper all around me in the class. I had frees through my day though. I entered the fill dinner hall, and sat down at an empty table. The guards also sat, having conversations. I turned to David.
“Do you enjoy following me?” I asked.
“It’s not following, it’s protecting.” He said, making me smile. I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around to see a smiling girl. Her skirt too short, make up caked face.
“Hey, I’m Diana.” I stood up so I was levelled with her. I saw her step back. I smiled and shook her hand.
“I’m Lia, Nice to meet you.” I said back. Going to sit down, I felt her touch me. I did not like it I turned back to her and she saw the fire in my eyes, and took another step back. Good.
“I just wanted to tell you that you are no one here.” She said with a sweet smile, anyone would think she said something rather nice. I smiled back.
“You say it like it’s a bad thing.” I said. I sat down. My lunch was in front of me. I thank whoever put it there. When I finished, I stood up, I need the bathroom. David stood up and walked me to the closest one.
“Don’t worry about the people here. Some are rich and think they are above all. ” I smiled at him. He waited outside for me as I went to the toilets. Everything looked clean. I went into the stall, when I came out I washed my hands and looked at myself in the mirror. It was someone I thought I will never see here.
“Why you so surprised?” she sneered.
“What are you doing here?” I blinked and blinked trying to get her out of my head.
“I am sorry, but I have to.” She said with a guilty expression.
“You are not supposed to be here.” I said to her. She was meant to be back in England rotting in a cell by now.
“I don’t want to, please don’t hate me.”
Then the darkness enveloped me.
