We all need that one person in our life to keep us settled, that one person that gave us hope to continue on.
A connection doesn’t have to be sexual, it just needed to be with someone that understood the reason for your heart beating everyday
And no matter how many years we spend alone, there was always a person ready in the world to memorize everything that made you, you
There’s one person in this world that wants a blueprint of your soul
For the days we felt like nothing, they were there to remind us why it was all for a reason
For the days when we couldn’t raise a finger, they were there to keep us alive inside and out
For this day that Luna couldn’t physically stand without feeling the gut wrenching pain in her body, there was Cytheria to keep her heart still beating
“LUNA” the blonde yelled as she ran towards the girl, the pouring rain was absolutely nothing to hold her back
Heck, even Nathan couldn’t hold her back from escaping and searching for her fiancé
Luna’s smile reached her ear when she saw the girl struggling through the muddy path, almost falling over as the mud stuck to her feet
“Come here you dumbass” Luna chuckled when the blonde finally reached her
But her smile dropped instantly when she noticed Cytheria’s pissed expression.
Instead of her soft gaze that promised laughter and easy banter, her eyes glared with an intensity that tightened Luna’s chest. Though they still shared memories, her eyes drilled out of her any notion of shared spirit.
There was no softness in that gaze. It was a look that conveyed a bubbling hatred.
“How. Dare. You. Leave. Me. Alone. Like. That!” Cytheria screamed as her arms swatted against the girl’s shoulders
“ow. Ow. OWWWW” Luna hissed as she tried to dodge the girl’s hits
“DON’T YOU FUCKING DARE DO THAT AGAIN” Cytheria yelled as she slapped her fist against the girl’s shoulders
“YOU. COULD. HAVE. FUCKING. DIED. AND. LEFT. ME. ALONE. AGAIN LUNA. AGAIN” She screamed, by now Luna wasn’t focusing on the pain in her arm
But her eyes focused on the fact that Cytheria was broken
The hits to her shoulders pained but nothing hurt more than the tears rolling down Cytheria’s eyes.
Despite the rain, her tears were still visible.
Her eyes dripped with tears. Her walls, the walls that held her hopes, made me strong to survive that dat just collapsed in the second. Moment by moment, they fell. Salty drops fell from her chin, drenching her cheek.
She was trembling, not from the cold and rain pouring over her. But because of her own emotions falling apart right in front of her.
The bleeding girl clenched her jaw and wrapped her arms tightly around her fiancé, but Cytheria refused to be held.
Cytheria couldn’t stop her tears, even as Luna pressed her hand against her own, it shook, it trembled. It was raw, everything, raw tears, raw emotions being let out with the anger fueling in her bloodstream.
“It’s okay. I’m here” Luna whispered, her arms held her fiancé wrist tightly, pulling her close but Cytheria fought
The blonde grinded her teeth against each other, trying to pull her arms away from the demon but failing. She was weak, inside and out.
She was weak for Luna and she knew that. But she refused to stop struggling.
“NO. YOU FUCKING LEFT ME LUNA. YOU LEF- YO-” The girl finally broke down as Luna’s arms clutched around her body, pulling them together
In her embrace the world stopped still on its axis. There was no time, no wind, no rain. Cytheria’s mind wasn’t at peace but her misery was lowered to the feeling of the girl’s arms around her.
She felt her body press in, soft and warm. This was the love she’d waited for, prayed for. She inwardly thanked God and hugged all the tighter. A love like this was to be cherished for eternity.
She sobbed into her chest unceasingly, hands clutching at Luna’s drenched shirt, Luna held her in silence, rocking her slowly as her tears soaked her chest.
Her body was all she needed in that moment of mental lockdown- the way it moves, the smell of wood smoke, even the sound of her heart beating.
“Everything’s okay, Cytheria ran into the town and brought everyone back with her. They’re inside the castle helping eveyone. It’s okay, Fawn’s okay, Vernon’s being wrapped up. And Lucifer.. He’s going to be okay, don’t worry” Nathan mumbled as she glanced at the two girls
Luna let out a long sigh she had held in, a tension of her problems fading away with the exhale. Her eyes closed tightly as her arms clutched her girlfriend even tighter. Everyone was okay. That was all she needed.
“Don’t you ever. Do that again” Cytheria sobbed
Luna chuckled softly as she ran her fingers through her girlfriend’s wet hair, pressing a soft kiss on top of her head
“I promise”

“OWWWWWW” Luna screamed
“Shut up before I shove the whole bottle of rubbing alcohol in your mouth” Cytheria hissed
“Are you trying to kill me?” Luna asked
“No. You did a pretty good job at that yourself” Cytheria spat as she dipped the cotton into the rubbing alcohol
“I deserve that” Luna chuckled
The two girls were currently back in their room, Luna still had a few bruises and marks that needed to be treated.
Lucifer was in his room being patched up by the medics of the town while Vernon was healing was Fawn’s head was being checked out. Cytheria made sure to sit the girl down in her bed, refusing to let her stand or raise a hand
“I still can’t believe you. What the hell were you thinking” Cytheria glared as she brought the cotton to Luna’s forehead, lighting tapping against the small cuts on her head
Luna hissed at the stinging pain as she glared at her girlfriend
“What else was I supposed to do?” she asked
“Oh I don’t know. Maybe tell your fiance that you were going to kill your mother and potentially die!?” Cytheria hissed
“You sound so ridiculous right no- OWWW” Luna groaned when Cytheria pressed the cotton directly onto her cut
“You’re not allowed to speak right now. God I could just choke you right now” Cytheria hissed
“I understa-”
“No Luna. You don’t understand. You just went on and do whatever the hell you wanted to without thinking. You could have died but you went in there without even thinking about your own life. It’s like you have this desire to protect, but when are you going to protect your own goddamned self” Cytheria yelled
Luna sighed softly, her eyes rising to admire her girlfriend’s tight expression. Cytheria’s eyes seemed distraught, there was anger clearly written all over her face but there was visible hurt. Luna knew what she did was wrong but she had to make a decision in the moment without thinking
“I don’t want to fight with you” Luna whispered
“Good, then stop talking” Cytheria mumbled as she squeezed a wet cloth, draining the excessive water from it
“But I want to talk to you” she whispered, Cytheria’s jaw clenched as she brought the cloth to the girl’s forehead, damping away the stained blood
“I know what you think I did was stupid and selfish-”
“Reckless, don’t forget reckless” Cytheria said as she wiped the girl’s scars
“Right. Reckless, but I had to do it. I don’t expect you to understand my reasons but in that moment I thought I was safe. I had my father, Fawn, Vernon all by my side. Besides, They took Cole down with them” She said
“They took Cole!?”
“If I said I saved him, will I get let off the hook?” Luna chuckled
“No”
“Damn. Well yeah, apparently they was caught in between Mark and he took him with him to get Medusa. Her brought her back and reversed my spells” Luna said, her eyes glanced towards her girlfriend
“I love you” She whispered
“Should have thought about how much you loved me when-”
“Oh for fuck sakes” Luna groaned and gripped Cytheria’s hands, tugging it away from her body as she flipped herself over, hovering over the girl
“Get off me, I’m trying to help you” Cytheria rolled her eyes at the girl pinning her to the bed
“I love you” Luna pouted
“I heard you, now let go” Cytheria glared
But the brunette chuckled and leaned her head down to place a soft kiss on the tip of her nose
“Get off me” Cytheria giggled
“I love you” Luna pouted again, Cytheria got the girl a death glare but Luna still held a smile
“I love you?” Luna smiled
“I love you, dumbass” Cytheria chuckled
“I knew you couldn’t resist me” Luna smirked
“I love you but you’re an idiot sometimes and right now I want to kill you”
“But you hate me because I almost died”
“Your point is?”
“Nothing. Nothing at all” Luna chuckled as she adjusted herself to straddle the girl’s waist
Cytheria sighed as she wrapped her arms around the girl’s back, pressed the side of her face into Luna’s chest
“You have no idea how scared I was” Cytheria whispered
With her head pressed against Luna’s chest, she could physically feel the girl’s heart pounding in her chest, rising and falling so peacefully. Cytheria’s eyes slowly drifted off as Luna’s fingers ran a few strands through her hair
“Want to know a secret?” She asked
“Mhm?”
“I was scared too” Luna whispered
“THAT’S NOT HELPING YOUR CASE RIGHT NOW LUNA” Cytheria hissed as she swatted the girl’s shoulder
“OW. GOSH YOU’RE ABUSIVE” Luna glared
“I should rip your eyes out right now” Cytheria glared
“You’re like a puppy, you’re tiny and have a big front. But we all know you can’t do shit” Luna chuckled, but the glare Cytheria sent her made her close her lips
“Sorry” Luna mumbled
“I don’t get it, what the hell was going through your mind”
“…i don’t know.. I guess I was just wrapped around in the anger, the adrenaline. I just… I wanted her dead so bad” Luna mumbled
“Speaking of… Um.. Medusa.. How are feeling.. About.. You know?” Cytheria mumbled
“She’s gone. That’s all there is to say. She’s gone and I can finally be happy” Luna said sternly
“Are you sure that’s it?” Cytheria asked
“What else would there be”
“You killed someone for the first time, it’s okay to feel.. Anything” Cytheria said, her soft fingertips trailing up Luna’s back
“I… I don’t know what to say. Or feel. I know she deserved it, it’s what I had to do. But the fact that she’s still my mother still lingers” Luna mumbled
“She isn’t your mother Luna. A mother’s love is the kind of love that would move heaven and earth for their child if they had the power. It was the kind of love that says “I would give my life for my child any time, any place.” It is the kind of love that would take on anyone, anyplace, anytime if they threaten the wellbeing of their children. That was ordinary love, it’s the kind they all have inside. The spark that ignited that in every person. She would rather live on her knees than die on her feet because her children needed them alive, Medusa wasn’t your mother and will never be” Cytheria’s voice cracked and her heart clutched as tears filled the rim of Luna’s eyes
“So don’t give her that title, don’t give her that power. She was nothing and will forever be nothing to you. Your father is all you need and now you have us. We’re never leaving and we love every single thing about you Luna. You never needed her, and you never will. I’m so proud of who you are and where you’ve come. So don’t, just don’t go to that dark place. Don’t let her get to you” Cytheria said, her cheeks stained with tears
Luna’s arms around the girl’s body tightened, burying her face into the side of the girl’s face allowing her tears so soak the blonde. Cytheria bit her lip as she held her fiancé tighter, her shaking body rocked with her pounding heart.
“You deserve the world Luna, and I’m going to give you every inch of it”
